Heritage Trails
28th of July, 2025
Goosnargh is one of the largest parishes in the country with over 200 footpaths and several walking trails for everyone to enjoy.
Being such a large parish, with so many footpaths, walking around Goosnargh is a common sight amongst the locals and visitors.
With the above in mind, Goosnargh Parish Council have been working on a Past and Present project.
The project endeavours to combine communities interested in Lancashire history / heritage with those who enjoy walking, cycling and outdoor activities and consists of 4 trails.
1) Beacon & Brock Walk - (3.59 miles) beginning at Beacon Fell visitors centre. Wear sturdy footwear for a steep walk and tough terrain.
2) Goosnargh Past Circular - (18.2 miles) A challenging picturesque cycling route.
3) Goosnargh Walk - (3.5 miles) An easy walk around Goosnargh village
4) Inglewhite Walk - (3.2 miles) A medium difficulty walk due to the terrain with small hills and stiles.
